Dermal Fillers

Thanks to cosmetic dermal fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane and Juvederm, facial wrinkles and folds around the mouth and lips can be smoothed out and corrected. Long used in Europe and now FDA-approved in the US, this procedure restores volume to the skin and fullness to the lip, imparting a youthful appearance.

Dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to plump , firm, and smooth out lines and wrinkles.

There are many dermal fillers on the market.  We use synthetically produced non-animal products. These products are far less likely to produce allergic reactions than old-fashioned fillers such as bovine collagen.

The most common areas of the face to be treated are wrinkles above and below the lips and the nasolabial folds, which are the vertical folds that typically extend below the cheeks on either side of the nose toward the corners of the mouth.  Vertical lines from the corner of the lip also can be minimized for a fresher, younger look.Fillers are  proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies show that the effects may last from 8 to18 months!  The product's stabilization technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone. Individual results vary.  It is important to remember that as long as our faces make expressions, wrinkles, furrows and folds will continue to grow.

The potential side effects are redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness lasting from three to seven days.  Many clients have expressed the joy from minimizing deep wrinkles and the youthful apperance achieved with the use of dermal fillers!
